World Cup

The World Cup is an international championship tournament that occurs in various sports, most notably in soccer (football), where teams from around the globe compete for the title of world champion. The FIFA World Cup, established in 1930, is the most recognized and prestigious tournament in soccer, held every four years and featuring national teams that qualify through regional competitions. The event culminates in a final match to determine the world champion team. Similar tournaments exist for other sports, such as rugby and cricket, each with its own governing body and rules, but the term “World Cup” is most commonly associated with soccer.
