Geopolitics

Geopolitics is the study of the effects of geography (human and physical) on international politics and international relations. It examines how geographical factors such as location, resources, and physical terrain influence the power dynamics, strategies, conflicts, and relationships among nations. Geopolitics considers aspects like borders, access to resources (such as oil, water, and arable land), and transportation routes, as well as the demographic and cultural characteristics of regions. It aims to understand how these elements shape the decisions and interactions of states and can lead to cooperation or conflict. Geopolitical analysis often involves the assessment of strategic interests, national security, and the implications of geography on global issues like trade, military strategy, and environmental challenges.
